Stability balls are sized according to your height and are sold in metric measurements. They are available at most sporting goods stores and can be ordered online at www.performbetter.com.

The following sizing chart shows the three main sizes:

  • 55cm (22-23 inches) for 5 feet to 5 feet 5 inches
  • 65cm(25-26 inches) for 5 feet 6 to 5 feet 10 inches
  • 75 cm (29-30 inches) for 5 feet 11 inches and taller

NEW! Interactive Ball Exercises

Ball exercises are a great way to help strengthen your core muscles and also stretch areas of your body you may have been unable to do on the floor. Core muscles include the abdominal muscles and the back extensor muscles. These muscles are important to helping keep backs strong, healthy and free from injury. The soft round shape of the stability ball makes it ideal for flexibility and mobility training. The roundness of the ball also facilitates the release of muscular tension and tightness because lying on the ball in various positions allows the spine to decompress and spinal muscles to relax.



If you try any of these ball exercises make sure you have an ok from your doctor and that you have no serious back pain or other joint problems.

These exercises have instructions on how to breathe and what muscle group the exercise is working. Start out slow and build up to doing the repetitions for each exercise. Most of all, have fun, challenging your body on your stability ball!!
